TL;DR - please provide a kernel with a newer drbd module (e.g. 8.4.6),

will result in kernel panics under load.

Please provide commit ids for the kernel changes.

I'm afraid that I don't know how DRBD upstream co-ordinates its version numbers with what goes into the kernel. DRBD's changelog shows the relevant support going in between 8.4.3 and 8.4.4:

http://git.drbd.org/gitweb.cgi?p=drbd-8.4.git;a=blob;f=ChangeLog;h=a6385d158f2e040ef1242a9bea0cb83183edd3fe;hb=599f286440bd633d15d5ff985204aff4bccffadd

I think (and this really is badly-educated guesswork here) that the relevant commit to the linux kernel is

20c68fdea1646ed746abf19122d7699493927005

https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git/commit/?id=20c68fdea1646ed746abf19122d7699493927005

although that still defines REL_VERSION as 2.4.3 in include/linux/drbd.h

Matthew
