Dear Maintainer,

Kernel 4.9 has support for Intel Omni-Path hardware in the hfi1 kernel
module. This module is not currently delivered in linux-image-4.9.0-2-amd64.

Building this module requires setting the configuration option
CONFIG_INFINIBAND_HFI1 when building the kernel.

This module does require non-free firmware in order to load. This
requirement will be addressed in a separate bug filed against
firmware-misc-nonfree.

Once resolved, the following file should be present after installation
of linux-image-4.9.0-2-amd64:
    /lib/modules/4.9.0-2-amd64/kernel/drivers/infiniband/hw/hfi1/hfi1.ko

modinfo hfi1 should report information for the kernel module.

I am an employee of System Fabric Works and SFW has the hardware and
resources to test the resolution of this issue.

Thanks.
