Running the 4.5.x kernel doesn't appear to have working carrier
detection on ethernet for the Firefly board. Earlier 4.4.x versions of
the kernel work fine.

And also been working fine with the kernels in stretch for some time.

Marking as resolved, although technically it was probably resolved
somewhere around 4.6.x.
