Unfortunately my laptop is a ThinkBook and seems not supported by fwupd. Anyhow I did non know of this project, thanks for the information: as suggested I will try to push Lenovo to consider adding my laptop model to the supported platforms.

Yes, I must admint that with my present workaround I am quite happy anyhow.

It's best to provide a full dmesg/kernel log and let any filtering up to them. Other messages may give them clues which are not immediate apparent to you.
I already posted [1] to Lenovo forum (concerning that many error coming from ACPI) few weeks ago with no answer up to now. I will update my post with the problem of battery module loading and mentioning this mail exchange. If no answer for some time I will try to contact support as well.
