Dear Maintainer,
The last Octuber a request was made at Bug #1021337 to enable the
Intel Data Accelerators feature. It was merged at 5fbc3f893f3e ("[amd64]
drivers/dma: Enable INTEL_IDXD as module and INTEL_IDXD_SVM"), where the
feature was enabled as module and the Accelerator Shared Virtual Memory
feaure was integrated in the module (=y).
This request is to ask to inregrate the following feature to the IDXD
module:
# Intel Data Accelerators performance monitor support
CONFIG_INTEL_IDXD_PERFMON=y
Enable performance monitor (pmu) support for the Intel
data accelerators present in Intel Xeon CPU. With this
enabled, perf can be used to monitor the DSA (Intel Data
Streaming Accelerator) events described in the Intel DSA
spec.
This key integrated the prefmon.o logic to the IDXD module.
