You were first, definately. By then I wasn't building my own Knoppix images.

Eh, kind of, yes. Trading speed for storage is possible. I will fix
compressloop some day to use stdout - but this will use malloc(), not double
compression. But, ah, it's GPL, so we might make compressloop the Gnu Tar of
Knoppix, i.e. make it have a zillion options that change with every release
of bzip2 ;-)
