[debian-knoppix] pointer on laptop

Hi all,
I installed the new version of knoppix onto my laptop compaq armada 
M700, the script for the hd installatio works well but when I reboot the 
mouse ether in console that in X doesn't works.
I tried to modify the XF86Config but still not works.
I tried to add in modconf the mousedev support but nothing!
Do you know if there are problem about the pointer on laptop?
PS
also external PS2 port doesn't works.
