Ja, ich habe bei den fertigen Seiten des Projekt "Anmeldename" benutzt
und hier war das noch nicht angepasst.
Man sollte auch gleich die xml-Auszeichnung ändern. <option> ist definitiv falsch, dafür nun <replaceable> eingesetzt. Bei den Konfigurationsvariablen entsprechend s#option>#envar>

Ja. Mir kam "steuernd" gespreizt und deswegen nur verwirrend vor. Das
Terminal selbst steuert ja nichts. Es erlaubt die Bedienung eines
Programms.

Der Kontext hier ist, dass es zuvor Kriterien aufgelistet sind. Die
Liste von Kriterien (eine Mehrzahl) halte ich für DIE Methode
(Einzahl), nach der das System eine Shell auswählt. Insofern ist "any
method above" des Originals schon nicht gut. Insofern steht da jetzt
"<filename>/bin/sh</filename>, falls keines obiger Kriterien anwendbar "
"ist und eine Shell spezifiziert."

Sicher ist bloß, dass dieser Strichpunkt unnötig ist, denn er schließt
eine Zeichenkette aus einer Auflistung. Damit schafft das Layout schon
hinreichend Ordnung. In den entsprechenden Auflistungen gibt es
komplette Sätze und stichwortartige Hinweise, also würde manchmal ein
Satzpunkt Sinn machen, anderswo nicht.
Keine Aussicht auf ein "schönes" Dokument.
Ich habe in der Übersetzung den Strichpunkt eliminiert.

da eine Variable IFS gemeint ist.
Und wenn space, tab und newline mit Großbuchstaben erschienen, würde
man auch eher erkennen, dass es um mit Tasten korrespondierende
Leerraumzeichen geht.
