The problem most certainly is, that Fn+F4 doesn't generate an "ACPI sleep button pressed" hardware event so powersaved does not recognize this event. Nevertheless you can try to assign a command to the Fn+F4 button when running X. [1] explains how you can determine the correct key code (e.g. on my PC it is 223 or 0xdf) and then you can assign "powersave -u" to this key event.
