It might be "incoherent" but the goal here is surely to either fix the
description, fix Lintian, or merely to fix our understanding to a point
where they all agree!

ie. What Lintian currently does is — from that point of view — somewhat
of a side-issue and doesn't really add anything useful IMHO.

Mmm, but then it immediately goes on to mention "autopkgtest-pkg-perl"
so it felt like they were orthogonal.

Anyway, thanks for the clarification and I've fixed this in Git here:
