I would like to see Olly become Debian Maintainer. I am following his work
upstream and and in Debian for about one year, in part because Debian
list search uses Xapian. His packages look excellent and he has been
very helpful beyond providing packages as well. The handling of
the most recent xapian-core update (soliciting input on d-release,
producing a flawless package for the targeted fix, not having uploaded
all sorts of stuff to unstable before) indicates a good appreciation
of Debian processes, too.
