Bug#977505: dh-ocaml: dh_ocamlinit indiscriminately processes debian/*.in files
Package: dh-ocaml
Version: 1.1.3
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
The dh_ocamlinit helper script indiscriminately processes all the files
with the .in suffix that are present in the debian/ directory. However,
it may happen that such files have whatsoever nothing to do with OCaml.
I was recently bitten by this bad behavior of dh_ocamlinit in the
packaging of plplot for Debian. [1]
It would be good if dh_ocamlinit only processed the files specifically
designated for that processing. Perhaps only doing it for files inside a
subdirectory in debian (say debian/ocamlinit/*.in)?
Best regards,
Rafael Laboissière
