Hi, The transition is making progress. The Release Team has scheduled the first batch of binNMUs. The status can be seen here: https://release.debian.org/transitions/html/octave3.8.html Current problems are: - octave-nan FTBFS on mips and mipsel. This needs investigation. - octave-odepkg seems stuck in an infinite loop on the powerpc buildd. I could not reproduce the problem on the powerpc porterbox. I have requested a give back to the buildd admins, without success for now - libgdf FTBFS on kfreebsd-amd64 and s390x. I did not file a bug because it looks like another instance of #739807 (bug in boost1.54). I did not verify this however. - octave-io FTBFS on some archs. This was due to a bug in octave 3.8.0-4, now fixed in 3.8.0-5; a binNMU will fix it, I'll request it - octave-java FTBFS, but we don't care, it is obsolete and will be removed That's it for now.
