Bug#941746: Incompatibility with Octave 5

Package: swig3.0
Version: 3.0.12-2
Severity: important
Tags: upstream
Control: block 934630 by -1
Control: affects -1 plplot
X-Debbugs-Cc: debian-octave@lists.debian.org

Dear Maintainer,

Octave 5 has been uploaded to unstable, and swig needs to be updated
accordingly.

The most urgent issue is to fix plplot, which now FTBFS, and is
blocking the Octave 5 transition.

Backporting the following upstream commit seems to be enough to fix the
issue (although plplot still FTBFS with that patch applied to swig, but
for another reason):

 https://github.com/swig/swig/commit/c38b7de6a120e6392abff50afd9bb919cc858cfc

Please tell me whether it’s ok for me to NMU, or if you want to fix this issue
yourself.

Best,
