This does seem to alleviate the primary problem.  That is it makes Open
Office usable.  However, there are some side effects within combo boxes
and some other widgets.

I don't want to sound ungreatful for the help as I certainly am.
However, for an end user the README file and the Bug Tracking System are
not places they generally look.  (As a developer having to take similar
questions I know.  Admittedly I was lazy here, looking for a quick
answer, for that I apologize)  Would it be possible to put this in the
actual help file for Open Office as I *did* look there.
