Bug#216051: OpenOffice.org: Document truncated on large search and replace operations

When I do a regex search and replace $ (line break) with space in a 40-page document,
OOWriter simply loses the last ten pages. If I do the search backwards, it loses the
first ten pages. Looks like a buffer limitation. There's no error message, so a user
might not even notice until it's too late.
