I bet your libreoffice-gtk got replaced by libreoffice-gtk3? (And/or
your GNOME uses gtk3 and thus the Quickstarter automatically gets disabled
at runtime, not sure how this is handled).

The Quickstarter is Gtk2, and upstream also considers it dead ttbomk.

That would make this bug (as unfortunate as it is) wontfix. Maybe even using
--disable-quickstart and get rid of it completely.
