Tried in a clean sid VM with Plasma (which only had tests done in GNOME so far): Hmm, indeed.
And it seems after that LO remembers the "window size" and gets a problem (startcenter only shows the buttons and then when doing writer you get the whole window as the size of the button bar)
And lowriter from the terminal and from the menu doesn't work either unless you rm -rf the user profile (.config/libreoffice).
Now it becomes weird:After I did that I removed libreoffice-kf5 (and -qt5) to check whether that has any effect it does work. After that I installed it again and it still does work. Even from dolphin...
So I believe something in the user config was wrong to start with and rewriting it fixed it...
