packaging zabbix-ldap-sync requires newer pyzabbix version

Dear Debian Openstack team,

I want to package zabbix-ldap-sync [1] for Debian which depends on 
pyzabbix. According to my tests, however, it is not compatible with the 
pyzabbix version currently packaged in Debian.

Is there a specific reason why pyzabbix cannot be upgreaded [2]?
