I am sure this is not the best method, but here's how I deal with SVN
sometimes acting up by ignoring my login (my username is "jonas" locally
but "js" on Debian hosts):
chmod u+w debian/.svn/dir-prop-base
perl -pi -e 's,^(svn\+ssh://)(svn.debian.org/),$1js\@$2,' debian/.svn/dir-prop-base
