That's so? Well, here are my refutations to the so called
reasons you gave for standards.
Marcus> a) Without documentation, you can't use the software.
Does not apply to a standard. You use the standard by reading
it -- nothing has to be modified. A standard is not documentation for
a program.

Marcus> example in context help system.
Does not apply to a standard -- it is not embdded in any code
or a program.

Irrelevant when what we are talking about is a standards
docuent. No library is involved.

Realy? Why? You have offfered nothing that has any relevance
to a standard. You have relevant points for documentation for a
program -- but you have said nothing that justifies why a standard
should be mutable.
Getting peeved and yelling does not make reasons appear where
there were none.
If you think you have given *any* reasons that apply to a
standards document, please repeat them. Remember -- standards
documents. Not documentation for a program.
If you have none, I roundly reject the ntion that standards
need be modifiable.
