        I agree whole heartedly. The social contract and the DFSG
 *must* only be changed by a full constitutional process, involving
 all the members.

        Excuse me? Is this the D FSG we are talking about? If Debian
 wishes to change it's own guidelines, following its own rules, it has
 the right to do so. Former members and whoever the heck the open
 source people are (mutter, mutter) should have no control over what
 Debian does.

        It is not as if they asked us when they split off the OSD. 

        Or do you think we shall be consulted before the OSD is changed?
