    Well, it's a really obscure nit in the US now that the American
language has become so, uh, relaxed, but...

"for ensuring that the licence of the package's software complies with
the policy of the distribution in which the package is included."

I believe the official rule is "may not end a sentence with a
preposition."  You also switched articles from "the" to "this".
