Problem with ifconfig usb0

I have the following error:

usb0: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such device
SIOCSIFNETMASK: No such device
usb0: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such device

What should I do?

Note: I'm using the 2.4.18-newpmac kernel.
