The PPD being used is in /etc/cups/ppd/. I took a guess that it might be
the Generic PostScript PPD. The PostScript file cups-filters produces
and sends to the printer looked ok to me.

It is a possibility that (depending on the PPD) the section "POSTSCRIPT
PRINTING RENDERER" in /usr/share/doc/cups-filters/README.txt.gz could
help.
