Package: irda-utils Version: 0.9.18-15 Severity: high Dear Maintainer, Can not run an IrDA USB key (MSC7780) with a kernel 4.9.0 and higher (Works correctly with a kernel less than or equal to 4.8.17) When I use the command "irattach irda0 -s" no reaction from the USB key and the file /var/run/irattach.pid was not created. If I use "ifconfig irda0 up" this causes "SIOCSIFFLAGS: Resource temporarily unavailable" Note : "lsusb | grep Mos*" product "Bus 006 Device 002: ID 9710:7780 MosChip Semiconductor MCS7780 4Mbps Fast IrDA Adapter" Regards, Jerome -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.10.0---2017-02-20.17h36mn (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages irda-utils depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.60 ii kmod 24-1 ii libc6 2.24-9 ii libglib2.0-0 2.50.3-1 ii libpci3 1:3.5.2-1 ii udev 232-19 Versions of packages irda-utils recommends: pn openobex-apps <none> ii setserial 2.17-50 Versions of packages irda-utils suggests: pn libgsmme1c102 <none> pn liblinc1 <none> pn obexftp <none> -- debconf information: irda-utils/dongle: none irda-utils/ttydev: /dev/ttyS1 irda-utils/setserial: irda-utils/enable: false irda-utils/firdev: irda-utils/firopt: irda-utils/discovery: true irda-utils/selectdevice: serial
