Package: hsetroot
Version: 1.0.2-5+b1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I tried to switch from xsetroot to hsetroot, but was basically unable to
set a solid backgorund colour with it without a lot of guessing.

Turns out, hsetroot uses a nonstandard and undocumented format for color
names. I tried the following standard X colors, mostly to no avail:

   $ hsetroot -solid black
   Bad color (black)
   $ hsetroot -solid '#000'
   Bad color (#000)
   $ hsetroot -solid 'rgb:0/0/0'
   Bad color (rgb:0/0/0)
   $ hsetroot -solid '#000000'
   [works]

It seems hsetroot practically doesn't understand any of the standard X
color specifications but somehow rolls it's own format.

Ideally, it of course should accept the same colour specifications as
other X programs, but at the very least, the accepted colour formats
should be documented in the manpage, as the X documentation clearly
doesn't apply.
