Bug#1037244: dhcpcd-ui: new upstream 0.7.9 release
Hello!!
I test dhcpcd-gtk 0.7.9-1 that is now in Sid, in a Emachines ancient laptop
(i386) with stable (bookworm). In all my quick test all works as expected.
First I test de Debian oficial binary package in that machine with an sysvinit
init. All ok.
Later I recompile the Debian oficial source package with gtk2, for work better
in that old machine (fewer consumed resources). And I test it, first with
sysvinit and later with systemd. It work ok, aswell, in both cases. Maybe it
works better with systemd.
My tests are to connect to my home wiffi and browse in internet. Later, I
conect my mobile phone to the data connection and start the WIFI zone on it.
With systemd dhcpcd detects almost immediately the new wifi network from my
mobile. And with sysvinit it takes about a minute to detect the new network...
But in both cases, it works as expected. And the feature of network changes is
not important for me, normally I only conect to one network, and the change
speed is not important for me. So I will remain in sysvinit, that is ligther
in that old box.
