Hello. I have the same problem as reported on message #5 of this bug report.
I am using a Raspberry Pi Model 4B with Raspberry Pi OS (most recent version, 32-bit).
I installed the airport-utils 2-8 from the repository.
Installation was okay, but when running airport-config from the terminal nothing happened.
Would like these utilities to work so that I can re-configure an old Apple Airport Express (or Extreme?) unit.
