Package: kinput2-wnn
Version: 3.1-10.1
Severity: serious
Justification: 2

(I am afraid I screwed up the Severity and Justification code. Please
feel free to modify them.)

When I was using kinput2-wnn from ice-weasel, kinput2-wnn crashed.
Here is the traceback left on the console where kinput2-wnn was invoked.

Locking assertion failure. Backtrace:
#0 /usr/lib/libxcb-xlib.so.0 [0xb7bf2767]
#1 /usr/lib/libxcb-xlib.so.0(xcb_xlib_unlock+0x31) [0xb7bf28b1]
#2 /usr/lib/libX11.so.6 [0xb7d95cf1]
#3 /usr/lib/libX11.so.6(XFlush+0x41) [0xb7d6ed81]
#4 kinput2-wnn [0x806efa5]
#5 kinput2-wnn [0x8072cb6]
#6 kinput2-wnn [0x8073125]
#7 /usr/lib/libXt.so.6(XtCallCallbackList+0x11b) [0xb7e8c3ab]
#8 kinput2-wnn [0x806ae1e]
#9 kinput2-wnn [0x806b0c9]

#18 kinput2-wnn [0x804bc96]
#19 /lib/i686/cmov/libc.so.6(__libc_start_main+0xe5) [0xb7c0d455]

I am not sure what went wrong, but I have a suspicion that
there is another kinput2-wnn that seems to be invoked from
GDM or gnome session manager(?) that interfered with
kinput2-wnn which I invoked.

I needed to invoke a separate kinpu2-wnn with a different
set of options to experiment with
key binding issues.
(Somehow I could no longer exit Japanese output by typing SHIFT+SPACE
which I used to do all the time. I now need to type CONTROL-BACKSLASH
which is awkward, and is very error-prone inside Thunderbird or
Firefox text input mode. Maybe I should report *this* issue as a
potential bug.
Entering Japanese input mode by SHIFT+SPACE and exiting the mode
by the same key combination worked like a charm for many years for me.)
