Source: qtwebkit-opensource-src Severity: important User: slomo@debian.org Usertags: gstreamer0.10-removal Hi maintainer, your package qtwebkit-opensource-src currently still depends on GStreamer 0.10. GStreamer 0.10 is no longer maintained and supported by the upstream project since almost 3 years, and contains many known bugs that are fixed in the new 1.x release series of GStreamer. Next to many bug fixes, the new release series also contains many other improvements, new features and a more streamlined API. For the next Debian release GStreamer 0.10 is planned to be removed, and if your package is not updated it might not be included in the release. Please update your package to use the new version as soon as possible. If you need any help with porting or have further questions, please feel free to also contact me privately. Best regards, Sebastian PS: See https://bugs.debian.org/785198 and https://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2015/05/msg00335.html for some further discussion.

So this is a bug for them, which is already reported, so I'll close this one. > Any idea on when gstreamer will change to 1.0 for this project? Yes, Qt 5.5.0, due to July 1st. That version will hit experimental but not unstable, unstable will receive 5.5.1 whenever it comes out. Kinds regards, Lisandro. -- Simulations are not data.
