   * What led up to the situation?

I have been having ongoing problems with iceweasel locking up on startup 
from kdeinit5 (see Debian bug #806213) and when I upgraded from libqt* 
packages version 5.5.1+dfsg-11 to 5.5.1+dfsg-12 the problem reappeared.


   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

Downgrading back to version 5.5.1+dfsg-11 solved the problem for me.

   * What was the outcome of this action?
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
