Hello,
Now that 5.6 supports gestures properly again, I turned them back on and found that I could no longer middle click: when not performing a gesture with the middle mouse button, khotkeys wasn't passing my middle clicks through to the underlying applications. A quick search uncovered this:
Essentially, khotkeys needs to be built with XTest support. It will then pass clicks through to the underlying application once it has determined that no gesture is being made.
Armed with this knowledge, I was able to solve the issue by rebuilding khotkeys myself after installing libxtst-dev . The solution thus appears to be simple - add that package to the khotkeys build-depends.
