What do you mean by exercising? Are you able to reproduce the crash with a particular (small of possible) set of emails that you can share?

That's the expected way to handle a crash.

By this last part it seems to me that you are more concerned about the crashing message than of the crash itself.
I might be wrong, of course, but from this report I don't see anything wrong in the crash message when the server stops unexpectedly (either by a crash or because of a forced stop).
