Bug#939797: dolphin: Filter bar always present in new Dolphin window

Dear Maintainer,

When a new Dolphin window is launched the filter bar is always open.  If I close the filter bar and then close Dolphin, then reopen Dolphin, the filter bar is opened again.  It appears that there is no way to prevent the filter bar from always being opened when Dolphin launches.
