To be honest, I'm a bit disappointed by this delay, both from the release team
and the ftpmasters. I know you we're all volunteers and it's always annoying
to have to handle fallout of bad stuff caused by maintainers, but waiting that
long just to give a negative answer is bit frustrating.

Unfortunately, I can't just revert the patch so that means basically reverting
the whole stuff to the previous snapshot (I'm not too sure how well gbp handle
that), dropping all the new hardware/software support.
I'll try that anyway and follow up with the soname bump dance (which likely
means a trip to NEW with another delay).
