The changed sonames are mainly to avoid upgrade problems with recent
GnuTLS versions, that depend on Nettle internals outside of
the advertised ABI. But also because of the removal of
internal poly1305 functions which were undocumented but
declared in an installed header file, see Interface changes
below.

I've tested rebuilding the majority of dependent packages at this point, and
so far no failures have been due to new nettle version (haskell-nettle and
haskell-bindings-nettle need to be investigated further), except possibly lsh-
utils, but I'm thinking about having it removed since it's been unmaintained
more or less since nettle was spun of from it and it doesn't offer much over
openssh.

Ben file:

title = "nettle";
is_affected = .depends ~ /\b(libhogweed6|libnettle8|libhogweed5|libnettle7)\b/
is_good = .depends ~ /\b(libhogweed6|libnettle8)\b/
is_bad = .depends ~ /\b(libhogweed5|libnettle7)\b/

I've removed caml-crush from testing, so this transition is now done.
