Package: release.debian.org Severity: normal Tags: buster User: release.debian.org@packages.debian.org Usertags: pu Hi, I'd like to upload a new upstream release of the nvidia legacy driver 390xx to buster in order to fix CVE-2021-1056. This will be a rebuild of the package in sid and thus includes a few packaging updates similarily to the current 390.138-1~deb10u1. (nvidia-graphics-drivers-legacy-390xx in sid still has a small userbase and therefore this should be the package with the best testing we can get.) There are several changelog entries mentioning support for newer Linux kernels (patches etc.), these changes have been superseded by the new upstream release and the patches are gone ;-) The new symbols are in *-glvnd-* packages which are not built from src:nvidia-graphics-drivers-legacy-390xx (only built by src:nvidia-graphics-drivers in stretch) and therefore are irrelevant. There are many ancient changelog entries being added back, since I reverted a decision to drop them because that only made comparing and merging branches more difficult. Andreas
