Bug#1037289: reportbug: EMAIL environment variable does not work
Package: reportbug
Version: 12.0.0
Severity: minor
Dear Maintainer,
The man page says "REPORTBUGEMAIL, DEBEMAIL, EMAIL
Email address to use as your from address (in this order). If no environment variable exists, the default is taken
from your user name and /etc/mailname." but EMAIL does
not work:
% env |grep MAIL
EMAIL=stephane@bortzmeyer.org
% reportbug whois
*** Welcome to reportbug. Use ? for help at prompts. ***
Note: bug reports are publicly archived (including the email address of the submitter).
Detected character set: UTF-8
Please change your locale if this is incorrect.
Using 'Stephane Bortzmeyer <stephane@sources.org>' as your from address.
--email on the command-line does work.
