Cg6 acceleration is not implemented in XF4.0.1. I had no time to finish that
(there is acceleration just for Creator/Elite3D and Leo/ZX, plus hardware
cursor support for ffb/leo/cg6/tcx).

You need working XKB so that keys work properly. Check your X startup log...
