Still having a problem....
This was a working Sun Microsystems Ultra 5 (ultrasparc driven).
The net install was sucessful (twice). I did not select non-free software BTW.
Turning on the system I get
boot:
so I hit enter and away it goes, switching screen mode and showing the penguin.
soon after the line about GNOME starting, my monitor 'clicks' and the screen goes blank. There is a - symbol at the top.
Stop A, ctrl+Alt+F1 does nothing.
I see nothing, hear nothing.
any suggestions?
