Hi,the alom's console is basically the serial line all sun used to have pushed through the ssh connection. So, the speed of the alom console display is the speed the obp is communicating with the internal serial line of the obp.
Obp is by default running at 9600 bps which is painfully slow. However, you could set it up to 115200 bps which is much more bearable. Seb Le 23/01/2016 18:38, John Paul Adrian Glaubitz a écrit :
Hi! I am currently setting up another Debian sparc64 machine which is a Sun Fire T2000 and I am currently using the ALOM console over a network connection. While the console works fine so far, it's just painfully slow and I can basically watch the machine print single characters on screen. Does anyone know what could be the reason for that? I have been waiting for several minutes now just for the kernel to print the boot messages, something must be completely off here. Any suggestions? Adrian
