Let's all thank Adaptec for their Linux support. Since they have been
doing it, the aic7xxxx driver has been a constant headache! :-P

Facts: Each and every version of the Adaptec driver since kernel 2.0.35
have failed working with one card or another. Even the latest one (the
one in kernel-image-2.0.36_2.0.36-3.deb and on the 2.1.8 boot-floppies)
hangs on some machines. If someone knows how to fix that, please tell
Herbert and I. I'm just tired of chasing this one, and I don't even
own one of those Adaptec thingies! (Advansys rulez!).
