Hi!

im running Debian Wheezy (I send this report from Debian Squeeze) and
today i wanted to update my system (KDE).Apper displayed a lot of Software
that would be updatet (a few hundred MBs). I entered my root password und apper
told me, that about 60 Packages would be removed. Unfortunately Apper removed
important packages like kdm (K display manager), all KDE apps (like Okular,
bash console, Apper etc.)
During the update i was asked by a programm called debconf (or a similar name)
if I wanted to stop kdm and after that if I wanted to deinstall the kernel.
I had this problem before with wheezy (maybe it is related to kernel updates),
although I don't remember what was updated back then. I choosed not to stop
kdm because I had this problem before. After a restart I had no graphical
login because kdm was removed. Now I just have a the text login. I don't know
what package causes apper to remove the kde apps every time. The only packages
I have installed outside the debian standard repos are iceweasel release and
PlayOnLinux and Libreoffice 4 Beta.

Would be cool if someone could figuere out the problem.

Hi,

please try debian-user@lists.debian.org or debian-user-german@lists.debian.org

Hint: "apt-get install -f" needs to be run as root or with sudo.
