Indeed; a "debuild -S" for latex-cjk-chinese-arphic compiles a thousand times
faster than the regular "debuild". :D
But I have now also bought some more computer memory, so I suspect there will
be much less swapping. I'm currently testing the latest version of
latex-cjk-arphic-chinese's debian/rules with only one font, and it looks
promising.
Anyway, "cjk" is ready. The changelog:
cjk (4.8.0+git20080711-1) unstable; urgency=low
* The "Copyright is the right to copy" release.
* New upstream release:
- incorporate SUN Wenchang's CJKspace package;
- make the macron work again with Plain TeX in pinyin.sty;
