Package: texlive-lang-italian

The italian hyphenation stops to work with the following message

                   \message

Please type another input file name:

If i try to look for the file

  $ apt-file search ithyph
  tcllib: /usr/share/tcltk/tcllib1.10/textutil/ithyph.tex
  tcllib: /usr/share/tcltk/tcllib1.12/textutil/ithyph.tex
  texlive-lang-italian: /usr/share/texmf-texlive/tex/generic/hyphen/ithyph.tex

but

  $ dpkg -L texlive-lang-italian | grep ithyph.tex
  $

If I download the patterns file from CTAN <http://tug.ctan.org/cgi-
bin/ctanPackageInformation.py?id=ithyph> and place it into the directory where
I compile the TeX file all works fine.

-- Package-specific info:
If you report an error when running one of the TeX-related binaries
(latex, pdftex, metafont,...), or if the bug is related to bad or wrong
output, please include a MINIMAL example input file that produces the
error in your report. Don't forget to also include minimal examples of
other files that are needed, e.g. bibtex databases. Often it also helps
to include the logfile. Please, never send included pictures!

If your example file isn't short or produces more than one page of
output (except when multiple pages are needed to show the problem),
you can probably minimize it further. Instructions on how to do that
can be found at

Hi Gianluca,

thanks for your report, but I have to say, it is completely invalid.

rubbish. first it is not unusable, second, it is actually working.

What did you call??? Is that something *you* wrote?

I will not explain the background, it is too lengthy, the simple
explanation is that there is no ithyph.tex anymore, there is only
	loadhyph-it.tex
which in turn loads
	hyph-it.tex
(search for documentation of hyph-utf8,
/usr/share/doc/texlive-doc/generic/hyph-utf8/)

Please, explain your problem in detail.

> I compile the TeX file all works fine.

What the hell is the TeX file doing? You cannot define languages at will!?
BTW; the bug report clearly asks for a minimal test file ...

I am closing this bug since it is definitely invalid. Please reopen
if you think that patterns are still not working.

Best wishes
