Source: tex-common Version: 6.06 Severity: wishlist Dear maintainer, I'm more and more annoyed by how many times the tex-comon triggers are triggered in a single `apt upgrade` run. Every one of them takes a few seconds, and this is a quite fast system. When I e.g. install tex packages under qemu it takes forever to run them. In today upgrade of texlive-base+texlive-extra I can count 3 trigger runs, and that's after the postinst of tex-base. I doubt that you texlive stuff needs await triggers, so I suggest you to switch to -noawait triggers (the change is simply s/interest/interest-noawait/g in the triggers file); that way dpkg is free to run the triggers whenever it sees better to run it, and can coalesce multiple triggering, which usually means a single run near the end of the installation process. See deb-triggers(5) for more information about dpkg triggers. -- regards, Mattia Rizzolo GPG Key: 66AE 2B4A FCCF 3F52 DA18 4D18 4B04 3FCD B944 4540 .''`. more about me: https://mapreri.org : :' : Launchpad user: https://launchpad.net/~mapreri `. `'` Debian QA page: https://qa.debian.org/developer.php?login=mattia `-
