@Hilmar: A typo. I meant: The message sequence [2] in the NTG mailing list is correct. I cannot judge about the code [1]. If my memory serves me right, the actual change might have happened a few revisions later. Still, no guarantee.
So if you can't find the right revision, it's probably safer not to do anything despite severe effects.
