unable to do recording with ESS Solo1

Hi folks.

I'm not able to do sound recording with my ess solo1 chipset. The error is:
solo1: cannot start recording, DDMA mask bit stuck at 1

I've tried it with various kernel versions (I'm working with 2.3.51 but it
used to write that message on 2.2.14).
