emacs 19.30 barfs in X (1.1 beta)
Sorry if I am posting to the wrong list. Should this stuff still be
discussed in development?
Just got 1.1 running, not bad so far, a few iterated dpkgs and
dselects needed to resolve some dependency glitches. Syslogd is not
working, but we already know that.
Biggest problem: emacs won't start in X mode. works fine on the
console or as emacs -nw in an xterm. emacs -q (I have a hairy init
file) does nothing to help. The error is:
Wrong type argument: internal-facep, []
or
Wrong type argument: internal-facep, [face bold 3 nil nil nil]
depending on whether I give any arguments or not.
I'm running 1.3.64, and have tried out the Xaw3d package, if it
matters.
Any Ideas?
Thanks
nathan
